Renowned underwater archaeologist Robert Ballard has claimed that his team of researchers have discovered evidence that suggests that the Great Biblical Food actually happened and the story in the bible are based on real events.
The startling discovery was made when Mr Ballard and his team were investigating the controversial theory proposed by two Columbia University scientists that there was a massive flood in the region of Black Sea. Ballard mentioned that around 12,000 years ago the world was mostly covered in ice and the Black Sea actually had freshwater and was surrounded by farmland. When glaciers began to melt during 5600 BC waters rushed towards world’s oceans creating a great flood. When this massive flood happened, it cascaded through Turkey’s Straits of Bosporus towards the Black Sea.
Ballard, during the interview mentioned, ’Where I live in Connecticut was ice a mile above my house, all the way back to the North Pole, about 15 million kilometers, that’s a big ice cube, but then it started to melt. We’re talking about the floods of our living history. The questions is, was there a mother of all floods?’ It probably was a bad day,’ he said. ‘At some magic moment, it broke through and flooded this place violently, and a lot of real estate, 150,000 square kilometers of land, went under.’
The research was based on William Ryan and Walter Pitman who claimed in 1997 tht ‘ten cubic miles of water poured through each day’ and that it continued to happen for atleast 300 days which also coincides with the biblical story.
